Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance / Assistant Manager – Production

Thal Engineering is hiring experienced professionals for Assistant Manager roles in Quality Assurance and Production at its Port Qasim facility in Karachi. These roles focus on shop-floor leadership, process improvement, and compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Quality Assurance or Production operations.
• Analyze production and quality data to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support new product development and maintain SOPs and documentation.
• Implement cost reduction and process optimization initiatives.
• Train and guide operators to improve shop-floor performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial/IM, Automotive, or Materials).
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Japanese methodologies (5S, Kaizen, JIT, Jidoka, Poka Yoke).
• Hands-on experience with quality tools, PFMEA, Control Plans, ISO and IATF standards.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
• Experience with AutoCAD, line balancing, and cycle time analysis.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
