Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance / Assistant Manager – Production (Karachi)

Thal Engineering is hiring experienced professionals for the positions of Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance and Assistant Manager – Production at its Port Qasim facility in Karachi. These roles focus on shop-floor excellence, process optimization, and compliance within a structured manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily Quality Assurance or Production operations and optimize workflows.
• Analyze production and quality performance data to drive improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals.
• Support new product development and maintain SOPs and documentation.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Train, guide, and monitor operators to improve shop-floor performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial / IM, Automotive, or Materials).
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industries such as automotive or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Japanese methodologies including 5S, Kaizen, JIT, Jidoka, and Poka Yoke.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools, PFMEA, Control Plans, ISO, and IATF standards.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and production layouts.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, line balancing, and cycle time analysis.
• Strong skills in data analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
