Job Description

The Ministry of Defence (Defence Division), Government of Pakistan, is inviting applications from qualified individuals for multiple posts in Rawalpindi. These positions are open to candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as per provincial and regional quotas.

Available positions include Assistant, Stenotypist, Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Naib Qasid, Labourer, Khakroob, and Farash.   • Manage documentation, correspondence, and filing systems in assigned offices.
  • Assist in data entry, record management, and office coordination.
  • Operate computers, perform typing and shorthand tasks where required.
  • Handle public and inter-departmental communications professionally.
  • Perform cleaning, maintenance, and supportive duties as assigned.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain discipline within the workplace.

Requirement

Candidates applying for these posts must meet the following educational qualifications, skills, and age requirements. The age limit includes general relaxation where applicable under government rules.

Assistant (BPS-15)

  • Graduation (14 years of education) from a recognized institution.
  • Must complete a 06-week Basic IT Training Course including MS Office, conducted by NITB within the probation period.
  • Age limit: 18 to 30 years.
  • Quota: Punjab (Merit) – 01 post.

Stenotypist (BPS-14)

  • Intermediate qualification with a minimum shorthand speed of 80 W.P.M. and typing speed of 40 W.P.M.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Age limit: 18 to 30 years.
  • Quota: Punjab (Merit) – 03, Punjab (Women) – 01, Punjab (Minority) – 01, AJK (Merit) – 01, FATA (Merit) – 01, KPK (Merit) – 01.

Upper Division Clerk (BPS-13)

  • Intermediate from a recognized board.
  • Must complete a 03-week Basic IT Training Course including MS Office, conducted by NITB within the probation period.
  • Age limit: 18 to 30 years.
  • Quota: Punjab (Merit) – 01, KPK (Merit) – 01.

Lower Division Clerk (BPS-11)

  • Matric qualification with a typing speed of 30 W.P.M.
  • Must complete a 03-week Basic IT Training Course including MS Office, conducted by NITB within the probation period.
  • Age limit: 18 to 30 years.
  • Quota: Open Merit – 01, Punjab (Women) – 01.

Naib Qasid (BPS-01)

  • Primary pass.
  • Preference for disabled candidates (quota-based).
  • Age limit: 18 to 30 years.

Labourer / Khakroob / Farash (BPS-01)

  • Primary qualification.
  • Physically fit and able to perform assigned tasks.
  • Age limit: 18 to 30 years.
  • These posts will be filled on a local basis.
