Job Description

Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) is seeking applications from Pakistani nationals for the position of Director General (BS-21) at Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH), Islamabad. The role involves leadership of the museum, scientific administration, modernization planning, and oversight of national natural history functions.

The Director General will supervise scientific programs, manage teams, support museum conservation, and guide long-term strategic goals. The role requires strong administrative skills, scientific depth, and experience with public sector systems.

Requirement

  • Ph.D in Botany, Zoology, Geology, or Climate Change.
  • Twenty years of relevant experience in BS-17 and above, including three years in BS-20.
  • Experience in museums, natural heritage, or conservation preferred.
  • Strong administrative ability.
  • Fifteen HEC-recognized research publications (with Scopus/Impact Factor preferred).
  • Experience in museum operations, team oversight, and scientific leadership.
  • Age limit: 45 to 55 years.
  • NOC required for government employees applying through proper channel.
