The Deputy Director of Enrollment Testing & Assessments is responsible for overseeing the design, administration, and evaluation of admission and placement tests used in student enrollment. The role ensures fairness, accuracy, compliance with policies, and alignment with institutional goals. This position manages assessment staff, collaborates with academic departments, and provides data-driven insights to support enrollment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment Development & Oversight
Lead the planning, design, and implementation of enrollment and placement assessments.
Ensure testing tools are valid, reliable, and culturally responsive.
Partner with academic leaders to align assessments with curriculum standards and program entry requirements.
Stay updated on best practices, technological tools, and compliance regulations in testing and assessments.
Test Administration
Oversee scheduling, logistics, and secure delivery of enrollment tests.
Implement measures to ensure test integrity, accessibility, and compliance with applicable guidelines.
Manage accommodations for students with disabilities in accordance with legal requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to guide admission decisions and placement.
Develop regular reports on testing trends, student performance, and enrollment impact.
Support institutional research by contributing assessment data for strategic planning.
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise testing staff, including training, performance reviews, and professional development.
Establish and monitor standard operating procedures for assessment administration.
Collaborate with IT, admissions, and academic units to ensure seamless assessment processes.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Maintain compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation requirements.
Monitor and evaluate assessment processes to ensure fairness, equity, and effectiveness.
Implement continuous improvement measures based on feedback and outcomes.

Requirement
Master’s degree in Education, Educational Measurement, Psychology, or related field (Doctorate preferred).
Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in educational assessment, testing, or enrollment services.
Strong knowledge of psychometrics, test development, and statistical analysis.
Experience managing large-scale testing programs and staff supervision.
Excellent communication, leadership, and data interpretation skills.
Familiarity with educational technology platforms for testing and enrollment management.
