1. NatCat Specialist (01 Position)
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Maximum Age Limit: 57 Years
Position Overview: Lead natural catastrophe risk assessment and modeling initiatives, manage large-scale GIS/RS-based risk assessment projects, and oversee data center operations for disaster risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage GIS/IT/SDI infrastructure and operating systems
- Develop and implement hazard/NatCat risk modeling systems
- Oversee Web-GIS, Mobile-GIS, AI, and ML applications
- Conduct geophysical and hydro-meteorological hazards modeling
- Implement risk management and business impact analysis
2. GIS Developer/Modeling Expert – NatCat Data Center (01 Position)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Maximum Age Limit: 35 Years
Position Overview: Develop and maintain GIS applications and modeling systems for the NatCat Data Center, create user-friendly interfaces and interactive visualizations for disaster risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop intuitive user interfaces and interactive visualizations
- Create WebGIS dashboards using JavaScript libraries
- Implement mapping APIs and data visualization tools
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness
- Link AI technologies and frameworks to meet NatCat requirements
Detailed Qualification Requirements
NatCat Specialist
Educational Qualifications:
MS/PhD (Minimum 16 years of education) in one or more fields:
- GIS & Remote Sensing (RS)
- Geo-Informatics
- Spatial Data Science
- Hazard/NatCat Risk Modeling
- GIS Modeling, GIS Development & Programming
- Related technical fields
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in managing data centers or large-scale GIS/RS-based risk assessment projects
- At least 5 years of experience in managing GIS/Spatial Data Centers
- Expert knowledge in GIS/IT/SDI infrastructure, operating systems, configurations, and IT applications
- Prior expertise in Web-GIS, Mobile-GIS, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) applications
- Strong understanding of geophysical and hydro-meteorological hazards modeling
- Risk management, business impact analysis, and contingency planning expertise
GIS Developer/Modeling Expert – NatCat Data Center
Educational Qualifications:
BS/MS in relevant fields:
- Geoinformatics
- Computer Science
- GIS Development & Programming
- Related technical disciplines
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience and 3 years overall professional experience
- Participation in at least 5 national/international GIS projects of similar nature
Technical Expertise Required:
- JavaScript libraries (Node.js, Leaflet, OpenLayers)
- Mapping third-party APIs (Google Maps API)
- Data visualization tools (D3.js, Chart.js)
- Frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
