The National Institute of Population Studies, Training & Research (NIPSTDR) is implementing a longitudinal panel study titled "Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA)" in Peshawar, Regional Training Institute (RTI), Government of KPK. This study is part of a broader initiative to collect actionable data on family planning, reproductive health, and population dynamics to inform policy formulation and program development at national and sub-national levels.
About PMA Framework
The Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA) project is a data collection platform that implements longitudinal surveys and cross-sectional panel designs to fill critical data gaps in family planning and reproductive health research. The methodology involves repeated observations of the same variables and individuals over time to track progress, understand contraceptive use dynamics, and measure the impact of health interventions.
Position 1: Technical Lead Coordinator
Duration: 6 months
Number of Posts: 01
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years
Payment: As per month
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of the longitudinal panel study implementation
- Oversee data collection activities using Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA) framework methodology
- Supervise field teams including enumerators, data entry operators, and office clerks
- Ensure adherence to study protocols, quality standards, and ethical guidelines
- Coordinate with Regional Training Institute (RTI) and provincial health authorities
- Monitor study progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective measures
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders
- Liaise with NIPSTDR headquarters and provide regular updates on study implementation
- Train field staff on survey methodology, data collection tools, and quality assurance procedures
- Ensure proper data management, storage, and transmission protocols are followed
- Conduct quality control checks and validate data collection processes
- Represent the study in meetings with government officials and partner organizations
Position 2: Office Clerks
Duration: 22 months

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the longitudinal panel study operations
- Maintain detailed records of study participants, field activities, and data collection schedules
- Assist in preparing and organizing study materials, forms, and equipment
- Handle correspondence and communication between field teams and headquarters
- Support logistics coordination for fieldwork activities and team deployments
- Maintain inventory of study supplies, equipment, and materials
- Prepare routine administrative reports and documentation
- Assist in participant tracking and follow-up scheduling for longitudinal data collection
- Support data verification and preliminary quality checks
- Handle filing, documentation, and record-keeping activities
- Provide customer service support to study participants when needed
- Assist in organizing training sessions and meetings
Position 3: Data Entry Operators

Key Responsibilities
- Enter survey data accurately and efficiently into designated database systems
- Perform data validation and quality control checks during data entry process
- Maintain data confidentiality and security protocols at all times
- Verify accuracy of entered data against original survey forms and questionnaires
- Generate data reports and summaries as required by supervisors
- Backup data regularly and ensure proper storage procedures are followed
- Identify and report data inconsistencies or missing information
- Assist in data cleaning and preliminary analysis activities
- Support preparation of datasets for statistical analysis
- Maintain detailed logs of data entry activities and progress
- Collaborate with field teams to resolve data collection issues

Position 4: Female Enumerators
Duration: 25 days

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with female respondents aged 15-49 years using structured questionnaires
- Collect data on family planning, reproductive health, contraceptive use, and related indicators
- Follow longitudinal panel study protocols to track the same individuals over multiple time periods
- Use smartphone technology with Open Data Kit (ODK) software for data collection
- Ensure respondent confidentiality and obtain informed consent before interviews
- Build rapport with community members and maintain positive relationships for follow-up visits
- Conduct household listing and mapping activities within assigned enumeration areas
- Participate in quality control activities and supervisor-led field checks
- Attend training sessions on survey methodology, ethics, and data collection procedures
- Submit completed interviews within specified timeframes
- Report any challenges or issues encountered during fieldwork
- Maintain accurate records of interview attempts and completion rates
Study Significance

Position 1: Technical Lead Coordinator
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in Statistics, Demography, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field
- Preference for candidates with advanced degrees in population studies or epidemiology
- Recognized/accredited biostatical university with strong analytical skills and knowledge
- Statistical/biostatical/epidemiological knowledge and experienced candidates
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in survey research, population studies, or health research
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale data collection projects
- Previous experience with longitudinal studies or panel surveys preferred
- Experience working with government health departments or research institutes
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, Stata, R) and database management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- Experience in research organizations or health sector preferred

- Should have Bachelor's and expertise in MS Office, SPSS. The candidate must have basic computer skills and should excel in data related work
Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry or database operations
- Experience with survey data or research data preferred
- Familiarity with statistical software advantageous

- Master / BS Honours degree in Social Sciences and experience in conducting interviews with female residents of relevant concerned districts
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in survey data collection or fieldwork preferred
- Experience working with communities or social work background advantageous
- No experience candidates will be provided comprehensive training
