Job Description
Position Overview
The Urban Unit, under the Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab, is seeking 1200 dedicated and competent Surveyors for a short-term project-based assignment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to sustainable urban development solutions across Punjab's cities and districts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive land and property surveys across designated urban and peri-urban areas
- Perform accurate measurement and mapping of land parcels, boundaries, and property lines
- Collect and record survey data using modern surveying equipment and techniques
- Prepare detailed survey reports, sketches, maps, and legal descriptions of surveyed areas
- Verify existing survey data and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist in the preparation of cadastral plans and mapping services for urban planning purposes
- Support urban development projects through precise geodetic surveys and measurements
- Collaborate with project teams to provide reliable survey data for policy formulation and development planning
- Maintain accurate records of survey results and documentation as per government standards
- Conduct field inspections and boundary research to clarify property information
- Support the Urban Unit's mission in developing sustainable urban solutions for Punjab's cities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols
Project Scope
Selected candidates will work on urban development projects within their assigned districts, contributing to the Urban Unit's broader mandate of housing and urban planning, transport connectivity, waste management, water and sanitation, and municipal finance initiatives.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of education (Intermediate level) from a recognized or accredited institution
- Preference for candidates with diplomas or certificates in surveying, civil engineering, or related technical fields
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in survey-related work is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Candidates with experience in land surveying, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, or construction surveys will be given priority
- Familiarity with surveying instruments and equipment is advantageous
