Accounting Team Lead / Finance Manager – BestFiler

BestFiler is hiring an Accounting Team Lead / Finance Manager for a fully remote, Pakistan-based role. This position is part of the latest jobs in Remote / Pakistan and is suitable for senior finance professionals with strong hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online and Xero, along with managing UK and USA clients.

In this role, you will lead accounting operations, manage a team of bookkeepers and accountants, and ensure accurate financial reporting for international clients. You will work closely with management to maintain compliance, improve workflows, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of bookkeepers and accountants.
  • Review accounting work completed in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
  • Oversee bank, credit card, and clearing account reconciliations.
  • Manage UK and US client accounts and reporting requirements.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgeting activities.
  • Support and review UK and US tax filings and compliance work.
  • Oversee payroll reviews and employee reimbursements.
  • Act as the main finance contact for management and key stakeholders.
  • Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Xero.
  • Proven experience leading or managing an accounting or finance team.
  • Direct experience working with UK and US clients.
  • Solid understanding of UK and US accounting and compliance basics.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and review mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, tax, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with UK VAT and US sales tax processes.
  • Experience scaling teams or improving accounting systems.
  • Exposure to automation and cloud-based accounting tools.
