Area Sales Manager – Modern Trade

Job Description

United Industries Limited (UIL) is recruiting an Area Sales Manager for Modern Trade (LMT & IMT) to drive sales growth and manage relationships with large and intermediate modern trade channels. This role is crucial for expanding our market presence in organized retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop sales strategies for Large Modern Trade (LMT) and Intermediate Modern Trade (IMT) channels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in major retail chains
  • Achieve sales targets and volume objectives for assigned modern trade accounts
  • Negotiate shelf space, promotional activities, and favorable terms with retail partners
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends within modern trade channels
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to execute in-store promotions and campaigns
  • Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and merchandising in retail outlets
  • Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports on market performance and opportunities
  • Develop and execute trade marketing initiatives to drive brand visibility
  • Manage budget allocation for trade promotions and marketing activities
  • Train and guide field sales teams on modern trade operations
  • Resolve operational issues and payment collection matters with retailers


Requirement

  • Proven experience in modern trade sales management, preferably in FMCG sector
  • Strong understanding of Large Modern Trade and Intermediate Modern Trade operations
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and execute sales plans
  • Strong analytical skills for market analysis and performance tracking
  • Proficiency in MS Office and sales analytics tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • MBA is a plus
