Assistant Mechanical Item Purchaser

Job Description

Blue Group of Companies is hiring an Assistant Mechanical Item Purchaser to support our procurement department in sourcing and purchasing mechanical items, equipment, and supplies for ongoing projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring mechanical items, spare parts, and equipment as per project requirements
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines
  • Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and conduct comparative analysis
  • Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand procurement specifications
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement for stock replenishment
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and competitive pricing
  • Track order status and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
  • Assist in resolving any quality or delivery issues with suppliers


Requirement

  • Experience in mechanical item procurement or purchasing role
  • Knowledge of mechanical components, spare parts, and equipment
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data management
  • Good communication skills for effective vendor coordination
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Understanding of procurement processes and documentation
