Cricket Coach

The Century Cricket Centre coach is responsible for the growth and development of the centre’s members, with a focus on strengthening Houston’s grassroots cricket system. This role provides a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture talent while making a meaningful impact. Coaches will deliver technical, tactical, physical, and mental support, creating an environment where members thrive and expand their cricket abilities.

Key Coaching Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one coaching sessions tailored to members’ needs.
• Provide video analysis to help members improve their performance.
• Organize and run group training sessions for small membership groups.
• Develop and implement coaching plans based on members’ goals and requirements.
• Manage the coaching calendar efficiently.
• Recruit and encourage members to undertake coaching sessions at the centre.
• Support the Centre Coordinator in addressing membership needs.
• Use the Century Cricket App to deliver coaching support and manage communication.
• Film and develop technical content such as drills and training activities.
• Respond to coaching inquiries and maintain consistent communication with members.
• Manage your roster of members receiving coaching through the app.

Secondary Coaching Responsibilities

• Potentially oversee a casual coaching roster to meet membership requests.
• Identify and attract non-members to join coaching programs and transition them into full membership.
• Conduct sessions within the local community as part of centre marketing initiatives.
• Develop coaching and mentoring products to meet evolving member needs.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, cricket clubs, associations, and state sporting bodies.
• Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, including parents, coaches, and partner organizations.
• Ensure open and effective communication to address feedback and enhance program satisfaction.
• Foster positive relationships to encourage ongoing participation and program growth.
