Physical Performance Lead – Women’s Program

About the Role

The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) is seeking an experienced Physical Performance Lead to join the Cricket team. This role plays a key part in the strategic delivery of world-class physical performance for SACA’s Women’s Program. The position also involves overseeing the physical preparation of the Elite Women’s State and WBBL Adelaide Strikers teams, as well as Cricket Australia athletes based in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic delivery of physical preparation for elite women’s cricket programs.
  • Use data-driven systems to monitor player workloads and support daily training environments.
  • Manage rehabilitation planning and apply technology to drive performance insights.
  • Collaborate with coaching and medical staff for holistic athlete support.
  • Oversee nationally contracted players and guide the development of pathway talent.
  • Provide leadership to the physical performance team and influence the long-term direction of the women’s program.

Requirement

  • Post Graduate degree in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, or Human Movement.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in elite sport.
  • Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA) Professional Level 2 accreditation.
  • Proven success in leading elite physical performance programs.
  • Experience managing elite athletes across multiple programs.
  • Strong communication skills with players, coaches, and staff.
  • Ability to align athlete development with the long-term strategies of SACA and Cricket Australia.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
