Senior Electrical Construction Engineer

S. Mehboob & Company (SMC), a reputable Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering firm established in 1980, is seeking a seasoned Electrical Construction Engineer to join its team in Karachi. With a legacy spanning over 45 years and more than 1100 successfully completed projects, SMC stands as one of Pakistan’s foremost consulting firms. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and performing electrical testing to guarantee compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical construction activities at the site to ensure they align with design specifications and safety regulations.
• Conduct and oversee electrical testing procedures to confirm system functionality and integrity.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to coordinate tasks and address technical challenges promptly.
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation related to electrical systems and site operations.
• Assist in the preparation of tender evaluation reports and support switchgear factory testing processes.
• Execute commissioning activities, including generator synchronization, as required by project demands.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical construction with proven expertise in site supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, complemented by practical experience in electrical testing and commissioning.
• Proficiency in English, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software is preferred.
• Prior experience working on MEP projects will be considered an advantage.
