Sustainable Textile Auditor

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Control Union Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. in Karachi (Pakistan) for Sustainable Textile Auditor.

As a Sustainable Textile Auditor, you will be responsible for tasks and responsibilities as given below. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of Textile Industry and its products. The position requires strong communication, analysing and observing skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Conducting third-party Textile audits at client establishments, as per contractual terms and scope.
• Assessing the conformity of operations and system against established international standards and regulations by visiting client on-site and examining/analyzing records, reports, documentations, interviewing concerned staff and workers, reviewing policies, observing production facilities etc.
• Closing of audit by communicating audit findings with auditees and finalization of audit report in accordance with management system requirement as stipulated in ISO 17021 or ISO 17065.
• Follow-up with client for non-conformity closure till issuance of Scope certificate.
• Maintaining good relationship with client while maintaining integrity and impartiality.
• Reporting to Assistant Certifier or Certifier on continuous basis.
• Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes related to the subject areas in which audits are carried out.

This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills who can initiate, conduct and review all audit activities whilst maintaining company integrity and developing/maintaining client relationships. Being up to date with the latest local and national regulations in connection with your work is critical to the successful delivery of this position.

• Graduate in Textile or 3 years Textile industry experience with expertise in QMS or 2-year experience in textile industry auditing.
• Lead auditor qualification of SA 8000 and ISO 9001.
• In-depth knowledge of Textile Industry and its products.
• Knowledge of Textile certification.
• Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and International).
• Report-writing skills.
• Presentation and interviewing skills.
• Good command in English language (Oral and Written).
• Computer literacy and good command on Windows and MS Office.
• Ability to make independent decisions through systematic and analytical approach.
