Oracle Database Administrator & Data Analyst

Farbstofee INTL is hiring an experienced Oracle Database Administrator & Data Analyst for its Faisalabad office. The role involves managing enterprise Oracle databases while supporting data analysis and reporting needs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities – Oracle DBA

  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle databases.
  • Monitor production databases for availability, performance, and stability.
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery using RMAN and Data Guard.
  • Handle high availability setups including RAC, ASM, standby databases, and replication.
  • Manage database security including users, roles, privileges, and access controls.
  • Diagnose and resolve database issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Perform SQL performance tuning and optimization.
  • Create database health checks, monitoring, and operational reports.
  • Support deployments, releases, and change management processes.
  • Automate routine database tasks using shell scripts or automation tools.

Key Responsibilities – Data Analysis

  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into data and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, and functions.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and system testing.
  • Develop reports and data extracts for business decision support.
  • Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Provide end-user support for Oracle applications and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and recent Oracle versions.
  • Hands-on experience with RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and Data Pump.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with performance tuning experience.
  • Experience managing Oracle databases in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Understanding of backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
